Beginning of Summer

The weather has turned really warm here so we have been spending a lot of time outside with water. The kids pretend that the sandbox lid is a row boat in the middle of the ocean.  Abigail is getting really big and grown up. She is very independent, as long as mommy is not too far away. My favorite thing she says is "Where me going?" She still loves to dress up and accessorize. She is really good at just playing or reading by herself, a big difference from her older brother :).

Joshua is still four but very excited to be five. As everyone knows, because he tells everyone, his birthday is June 10th. Today he informed me that he was mad at me because I ruined his whole birthday because I forgot about it. He knows that his birthday comes after daddy's and he thought it came the day after daddy's birthday. We had to take the calendar out and explain there is still time to get ready. He had his kindergarten check up last week and he is in the 99th percentile for his height, and the 50th for his height and 7th for his bmi. So he is a tall lean boy. He was so excited to go to his check up and did great. In the morning he was nervous about a cut he had because the doctor might not think he was strong enough to go to kindergarten with his cut, and he really really wants to go to kindergarten. Luckily the doctor thought he was very strong, Joshua even showed him his muscles just to prove it to him :).

He also had his spring sing the other night. He sang along pretty well. He had a solo but just stood there dancing and wiggling his hips :).

Caleb had his 31st birthday the other day. We gave him a gas grill. He loves to use his charcoal grill and has loved trying to master it, but now he just doesn't have the time. Since we moved here he has only grilled a handful of times. The taste is not the same but it is still fun for him to go outside and cook, he was very excited. For dinner we tried out his new grill with some orange beef kabobs, and had his traditional birthday cake of fruit pizza. I had a ton of peaches from our tree so made him a peach cobbler too. It was a fun birthday and I am always happy to have him only a year younger than me again :).
