Bike Riding

Thanks to my brother John telling me to take the pedals off Joshua's bike he finally figured it out. He learned how to ride last fall, but struggled stopping and getting going and kept falling after 100 ft. So we took his pedals off for two weeks and let him just cruise around. When we put his pedals back on it was like magic; he could ride perfectly without any help stopping or going or anything. Now all he wants to do is go to the park and ride his bike.

 Worried look?

And of course a few pictures of this determined little girl

Labor Day at Big Bear

Daddy had Labor day off. Now that school is in I could not let a day off go by without going to do something fun. So we went to Big Bear Lake for the day.

We took a little walk along the lake and then climbed around on the rocks and threw some into the lake.

It was a fun day to be able to be with daddy and play.

Cousins Sleepover

After the wedding Braddock, and Ezra came to Grandma's house to have a sleepover. They were so cute and had so much fun together. When we got back home Joshua was so sad and moped around for a day and kept saying I really miss my two cousins and want to play with them again.

Joshua's First Day of Kindergarten

My little baby boy went to kindergarten today. I can't believe is going to school now. The time has gone by way too quickly.

He was so excited, and a little nervous. He kept saying he is going to miss me so we talked about all the fun things he is going to do. I let him pick out a new shirt for his first day of school, and of course he picked his favorite color! It is perfect to show his happy personality.

We walked into school. We were not allowed to walk them to their classrooms, only to the front of the school where they met with the principal who would walk them back to their classrooms.

Out in front of his school.

All the kids lined up in to rows to go to their classes. Joshua was so excited, but looking around taking it all. There was a little girl crying hard and he kept watching her. Then he looks up at his principal and says "I have my lunch in my backpack, and my name too. And my mommy got me this special yellow shirt for my first day of school." Then all the nervous little crying kids around him suddenly started showing her their backpacks and excitedly talking about it.

They marched away to their classroom Abigail and I blew him kisses and yelled that we loved him. He gave us a quick polite wave like "okay mom" and then turned and walked away and did not even look back. I think he will have a great day. I can't wait to go pick him up and hear about it.
