Halloween

Joshua was a Super hero. He loves yellow so he wanted to be a yellow super hero, so made him a yellow and black super hero he dubbed "Super J". Abigail was a sweet little strawberry and was so adorable that she won the most adorable costume award at our church trunk or treat party. Caleb worked on the trunk or treat night and on Halloween, luckily he made it to the trunk or treat for about a half hour so at least got to see the kids in their costumes. Grandma Bailey was here to celebrate with us, it was so fun to have her here, and so helpful.

We carved pumpkins on Friday since it was the only day during the Halloween Weekend that daddy could be there to help.

Joshua had 2 super hero masks, neither of which he would wear for more than five minutes.ABigail kept her cute hair tie in the whole time at least.

Abigail's cute wings and curls.

It was so nice to have Kathy there, the kids were so excited and with Caleb gone it would have been hard to man our trunk and take the kids around.

Super Hero Joshua!

Caleb's Mom made her a cute little hair tie to go with her costume, it looked so cute.

Abigail's 2nd Birthday

Abigail wanted to have a Minnie Mouse Birthday party. She was lucky enough to have two parties, one with each grandparent who visited a few days apart during her birthday week.

We always do a big birthday breakfast, unfortunately we forgot to get real candles to put in her minnie mouse pancakes. She didn't notice.

My parents came a week before her birthday so we celebrated with them so we would have a bigger group for her little party.  We took a little hike through Oak Glenn.

Abigail opening her present from Grandma and Grandpa Bailey.

OPening her Mr. Potatoe Head from us, she loves it and is always playing with it.

Grandma Bailey made her the cutest Princess crown.

I made her a Minnie Mouse ice cream cake, it kind of melted and ended up looking like the old classic minnie Mouse. Abigail loved it.

Abigail loves our old cat and lugs her around everywhere.

When my parents came we did not know that Caleb's mom would be coming on Abigail's actual birthday so we had another little party for her. I love Birthday's and never mind having more parties.

Grandma got them each a gigantic cupcake, they loved them.

2 new Chickens

At the beginning of the month we got two more chickens. We love the eggs we get so much that we figured we could handle two more. The kids were so excited, they love the chickens.

Abigail insisted on carrying them all by herself.

Joshua's Chicken Donald Duck.

Abigail's chicken Gaga Baby.

We needed to give the chickens a bath.

A day at the park, and a hike through the falls...

Caleb had this morning off so we decided to drive 20 minutes up the canyon for a little hike. We went up to a small town called forest falls and hiked up and around the falls. It was really beautiful. It was also amazing to see the climate and terrain change. This town is in our ward boundaries and regularly gets snow! While we have a pleasant 68 -70 degree weather at our house they will have 30 or 40 degree weather. In the winter we often see people driving around our warm sunny town with a foot of snow on top of their cars. Anyway, it makes it a lot more lush and full of pine trees and some pretty fall colors. We had a really great adventure. The hike was no more than a mile total so Joshua was able to walk it all by himself and loved it. He collected rocks and sticks, and threw lots of things into the falls to watch them float away. Abigail rode in the backpack, but we let her out to help Joshua throw things in.  The falls were really beautiful and big. There was one really tall one that fed into lots of smaller ones with cascading pools. Also everything was looking greener and prettier after our first real rain storm since last spring.

A few days ago we also went to our neighborhood park to practice Joshua's bike riding. I soon found out that it was next to impossible to help him get on his bike and manage the big hills and other obstacles while helping and watching Abigail on her trike. So we decided to climb trees and slide down the slide after about 10 minutes of bike riding. He did at least practice a little, but we need to wait for daddy or a much wider straighter path to attempt it again.  Despite the bike riding problems we had a fun time and got some cute pictures.
