4 Months old

I took some four month pictures of Abigail. She is getting so big and so much fun.

Love the drool.

These guys love each other. Abigail is always laughing at Joshua and he is always giving her kisses and hugs.

I had to snap some pictures of Joshua too. I got this Estonian sweater from my mission and was so excited that he finally fits in it. He is finally starting to pose a little for me in pictures, but it is still a struggle...got some cute smiles though.

The end of a very, very long fun trip!

We are home and settled in from our almost seven week adventures out west. We had a great time visiting all the family and letting Caleb getting some work done. We left California and got to Utah on the 1st of February. We were supposed to go a little earlier but were waiting for my sister to go into labor. She finally did and had the baby, Levi, on Saturday...we left Monday :( so I only got to see him a little bit. He was very cute and I can't wait to see him again. Anyway we drove through the night and made it to Utah in time for Caleb to start his rotation at snowbird. We spent a little over two weeks there and had a great time. Caleb got lots of skiing in and Joshua and Abigail got lots of grandma, grandpa, uncle, aunt and cousin time. We did all sorts of fun things, but I think Joshua's favorite was just to be at grandmas and play trains, he still talks about them.

We all went to Temple Square to watch the Joseph Smith movie and eat lunch. It was really fun to be together and see the temple.

I was taking a quick shower one morning and had laid Abigail on the bed. While I was in the shower I kept hearing her laugh. I got out to find this...

Joshua laying next to her reading her books, I hadn't even known he came back into the room.
I thought it was so cute that I had to snap a picture.

Catching Up

Well it has been a really long time since my last post and a lot has happened.
We had Christmas in Vermont on our own. It was a wonderful peaceful Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve with our friends and Christmas day as a family. Joshua spent the whole day in his pajamas playing with his new toys.

A week later we flew out to California so Caleb could do an Anesthesia rotation in Santa Barbara. Joshua has been in heaven playing every day with all his cousins, he is literally falling into bed every night completely exhausted from playing so hard all day. Of course everybody also loves and has been enjoying Abigail.

We ended up blessing Abigail the first Sunday we were here. Originally we were going to bless her in Vermont, but things kept coming up, and then the majority of our friends left town. Long story short we figured it was better to wait until she was a little older so that we could at least have more than Caleb in the circle :). It was great to have family there to share it with us, and we we were so grateful that they drove up to participate. Caleb gave a beautiful blessing.

Caleb has finished all his interviews. One of his last interviews was up in San Fransisco so we all drove up together and made a little family adventure out of it. Although it will not be in our top five... it was a fun little trip.

Lately we are just excitedly awaiting the birth of my sisters 4th little boy. I threw her a little baby shower and have been trying to help keep her distracted and just letting Joshua enjoy having so many playmates. Abigail is three months old now so I took her pictures here are a couple of them. All I can say about them is adorable.

The Interview Trail

Caleb was doing interviews all over the west for two weeks this month. He had six interviews in 13 days. He liked all the programs, some more than others. He has had nine interviews ans twelve total so we are almost done! The hard part is going to be ranking them. While he was gone we tried to stay busy. We got our first snow storm.

Joshua wanted to make a snow man. So we went out during one of Abigail's naps and attempted to make one out of the icey snow. It turned out funny but Joshua loved it. We made a baby Abigail one so of course we had to make a Joshua, mommy and daddy one too.

Joshua likes to hold Abigail several times a day.

I was taking a shower and kept hearing Joshua running back and forth from the playroom to the bathroom laughing. So i peeked out of the curtain to find Abigail covered with blocks and little people. He said he was building a big house with "Abidail" she didn't seem to mind. Although she had more blocks on her that Joshua obediently took off and who knows how many more he would have got. I always get some surprises when I get out of the shower.

Trying to kill all our indoor time with really bubbley bubble baths.

Abigail is getting really big and strong. She is starting to push up on her elbows.

About two weeks ago she started to smile at me and coo. I love having her responding.

Joshua still loves her and holding her. He is very loving and concerned for her when she is sad.

Overall we did good while Caleb was gone but we are all very glad to have him home.

Giving Thanks

We were on our own again for Thanksgiving this year. We spent the day together cooking and baking. Joshua had a lot of fun helping out at EVERY step.

Here are the two kids after the big meal. I get the whole turkey-stupor thing, but why Abigail?

Of course for Caleb, it's no tough dilemma...

In keeping with our day-after-thanksgiving family tradition we went to Home Depot for a Christmas tree. Decorating it was a bit more of a protracted process than in past years, but at least we finished in time for pictures after church on Sunday.

Of note, this was Abigail's first Sunday going to church. Yes, I had WAAAAAYYYYYY to much fun dressing her up.
